Default Frameoff after paint

I need some Honest opinions on whether I am going to completly *** up my brand new paint job, that I worked looottttss of hours on. I did not want to highjack the earlier thread. Before anyone mentions it, I know what I am asking is bass ackwards, and I am a complete dips*&^. However, because of a number of details that are too long to go into here, I painted the car before I looked at a number of details closely. Like the missing body mount bolts and captive nuts in the rear. I have the interior completly removed, and nothing in the way of wireing to slow me down. I am planning on rebuilding the trailing arms in the early summer anyway.

If I use something similar to the straps sold by Zip(Or buy the zip straps), do you guys that have done a frame off think it will crack the paint. I know; I have lost my mind.

IMHO as long as you use good straps & lots of padding you'll be OK. Make sure you adequately spread the load. Sometimes things happen for a reason, maybe your painter was 'on' that day & sprayed the best paint he's ever going spray.

Any particular thing to look for, or strap placement to minimize damage. I do not think I could remove much more from the car, except maybe the fuel filler neck. Everything else is off, wires, vaccum, grounds, etc, etc, etc. Any suggestions?

Chuck,
Under both sill plates are two holes. If you jack up the body a couple of inches you can run a bolt and washer thru the hole for an attaching point. Depending on how much you have removed the balancing point is a few inches back front the front hole.

That may be a great option. I do not really want to take the damn thing back down. I rebuilt the front end, and will start on the trailing arms next. Provided the body mounts at the kick panels are in not too bad, I may just look at adding new mounts and bolts. How many of you guys have replaced mounts without a complete frame off.
