82 Crossfire Idle fun fun
I finally have the idle close tho where it is suppose to be after changing numerous sensors and cleaning the throttle bodies. I know I need to balance the throttle bodies and clean the IAC valves.
The car is Idling at 800-850 RPm in park and around 600 in gear. The car Idles rough at the lower RPMs and shakes. Here is the funky thing with the door open the lights in the interior of the car are flashing/strobing. What the heck is going on?

Sounds like the voltage regulator in the alternator...just a guess.
I have a stable idle aswell (finally) but mine also is rough at low RPM. Only thing i can think of...after replacing every single sensor is the throttle shafts. I have quit a bit of play...going to try fixing that next...

Have you checked for all possible vacuum leaks? The CrossFire is notorious for being very sensitive to vacuum leaks. I used a hand vac pump and a gauge T’ed off. I ended up finding vac leaks in:
- Headlight system
- Cruise control
- EGR system
- A.I.R. diverter valves
- Heat/cooling controls
- Evap purge canister (sol and line)
Need to check the plenum gasket again. The only things that were not leaking were the MAP and Brake Booster (fixed the line leak).
It idles a lot better with all the leaking stuff capped off for now (till I chase down and fix each one).
