Default SBC Intake Bolts

I am about to install my aluminum intake on my new motor. I bought a set of Mr. Gasket (I know... I know...) intake bolts. I don't feel confident that they are long enough to accomodate my A/C bracket. I can only get a couple of threads into the block with that particular bolt. What is everyone else using? (I don't want to reuse the originals.) Could I just use standard bolts, if so what are the specs on them?

TIA,

If you've still got the originals, or if you know the length you need, just hop on down to the local hardware store for some grade 8 (or at least grade 5) replacements. Home Depot, Lowe's, Tru-Value, PepBoys, should all have the right bolts. I wouldn't use anything less than grade 5 (3 lines on the head).

be careful because if the bolt is too long it will hit a pushrod and bend it
