I know many of you thought that I was never going to paint my car..just drive around forever with this primered bubba-mobile. Well, I finally took it down to the body shop and work has begun. In case you don't believe me, I took a few pics of the work in progress. Right now, about 3/4 of the car is in initial primer. The driver side front fender needed a lot of work because of an earlier crack up and substandard repair (I didnt do it!). I hope to have it back next month. The color? I am actually still trying to decide. Right now, I am leaning toward yellow.

Quik question...
I noticed that they are doing the work with the front bumper cover on. Are they going to shoot it installed or loosened/removed? I know they are working the pieces now to make the lines smooth, but I ask because the shop that painted mine b4 I got it painted the car with the front on and well it shows.
The front end and bumper cover looks good if done rite, but if they shoot it installed you might be disapointed. Most likely the primer/paint/clear coat will bridge the gap between the 2 pieces and that looks wavey/uneven.
Just a point to consider from someone who has this problem. I will be geting mine repainted next spring and will have the front removed/loosened b4 it gets shot.
I know that this is the only major urk I have about the paint on mine. They did a good job of body work and shooting the paint, but it looks like crap along the line because they didnt remove it.
The paint filled the seam between the bumer and body in some places which looks like a broken line along the seem now. :(
I was going to say "NO!!! NOT YELLOW" until i saw 69myway's car... I usually associate Bright yellow with ricers and mustangs... but I have got to say... DAMN.... that car looks nice.
Personally, I LOVE dark blue (with some sort of graphic)... someone has one on the forum that has the white outline around the BB hood (I hope he posts his pic on here... its great). But I like (almost) nothing more than a Black vette, with tinted black windows and a nice waxing... Its like a mirror.
1976C3- that is a bummer :( I hate when there is one little thing that is not quite right.
Bifkin- Unfortunately, I have the same color prefs you do. But, in Texas, with no A/C...
I am thinking of going with some black accents tho. I am thinking about painting it yellow with black lines down either side of the center piece of the hood (like 1976C3's where the red is)
69Myway- to each his own! Thanks again for the pics tho..
