i decided its better to rather start with the suspention and have a good foundation rather than start rebuilding the engine (its cheaper too ) ok so im going with the performance plus kit from vbp.. which alot of you guys have. and i was wondering, is this something me and my cousin can handle at home in a garage or should i just send it out and get it done instead??
we like to wrench but i cant say we're gear heads in that perspective
Search for previous posts on the subject, think things through, and be careful. The springs (front and rear) will have tension on them that could hurt someone if they are not removed properly.

Doing a suspension rebuild is the best investement you will ever make to the vette. Did mine last winter, started with the rear (hardest depending on trailling arm bolts). I'm just a hobby mechanic and completed everything myself. You will need a couple of special tools but everything is available or just send the parts out and have them done.
When ordering your Performance Plus Kit, don't forget to mention your Forum membership, it get's you 10% off. On the Performance Plus Kit that's a big savings
Johnny-Took a look at the kit you mentioned, I think it's something that you and your cousin can do. Take the car to Kraus Racing in Castro Valley for an alignment afterwards.
If you need any tools, let me know, got all kinds of'em
"And While You're At It..." that's a good time to rebuild/replace those leaky brake calipers and squishy brake lines!
And yes, unless you're really mechanically inept, you can do it at home.
