The AC in my 69 was taken out by a previous owner. I am thinking of getting it back in. One thing that is missing is the bracket for the compressor. Can someone help me with photographs to show how the compressor is installed. Also, any tips on the reinstallation witll be appreciated.
The Shop Manual is also a good source. Everyone who does any work on their car should have the year-specific GM shop manual. Available from the catalogs, Ebay, maybe still from helminc.com
If you have a Corvette Central catalog, they have good diagrams on that type stuff too.
Order the '69 AIM when you order the mounting kit suggested by 75 Red Vert. The AIM has installaton pictures and assembly notes for the entire AC system. Now would be a good time to convert to R-134a.
Check to see if you still have the stud on the RH exhaust manifold. Stock bolt was pulled, stud installed. AC bracket uses the stud.
