Default Rear Diff

I screwed up and jacked the rear of my 71 up today without the shocks installed. When I let it back down I heard a pop sound. Did I bust something in the rear. Opinions. It was not a real big pop but more than I usualy hear. Dave

The spring supports the weight of the car, not the shocks. In fact, shocks do nothing to support the weight of the car. I'd say it's not likely that you damaged anything.
