Question

I'm about to buy my first Corvette. 1974.

I know quite a bit about the C3 Corvette, but there's one thing I don't.

Is there a way I can remove the luggage rack? And is it an easy task?

It's very easy. The screws on the top of the rack go into a threaded insert. Jest unscrew it. The inserts will stay in place. You may find that some of the inserts are worn. They are easy to find and replace.
