Default Help Deciphering VIN

Anyone have their Black Book out?

I think that the only things you can tell from this 68 VIN is Coup/Vert and early late. I think that it's an early vert:

1Z37K2S508298

Please confirm or debunk.

not a '68 serial number ...
looks like a '72 number - base motor (K), coupe, #08,298 indicates a late November 1971 build.

Oops. I was just testing you. Not incompetent at all.

The VIN that I wanted to post was

194678S428427

It is a vert, but a VERY late one. From the Black Book, I'd guess around June 1968.

28566 made and this is 139 before the end.
some books say 1968 production ceased in July, but the production quantity seems to suggest there was August production as well.

So I suspect your serial number was produced in August 1968,
the last day of production, or the day before the last day.
