Ok im sold, the RPM 2-O 7161 and AirGap 7561 are both the same height. How much more HP is gained from the airgap? And how much of a gain might be expected over the 2161 im currently using? I always thought something was wrong with the configuration, I had expected more out of the 454 then 318rwhp.

About +20-25. The intake temp. stabilizes so don't expect any real difference on the street between the 2 RPMs.
I have used a Moroso intake valley baffle or shield for a long time.

Im using one of those sheilds as well, im not sure what brand or who makes it. It was on the engine when I bought the car. As far as the difference between the 2161 and the 7161 could I expect a big difference? My cam specs say the cam is good from 2500 to 6200 rpm. And the old 2161 manifold specs say its good till 5000 rpm. The 7161 specs say its good to 6500 rpm. So Im guessing ill gain about 1200 more usable rpm when I switch manifolds. The advertized supported hp for my heads is that they support 540+ HP and the 7161 manifold says the same. But I suppose that could be if you also buy their 150 shot of nos.
