time for a new trans for my '77, i want to stay with 4 speeds and want to get a super t-10 or, as i guess some call it, 'rockcrusher', the M22.
here is where i want your advice please:
who's, on your opinion, the best and most reliable M22 builder?
which M22 should i get? the standard, the M22W or the M22X for tighter 2nd and 3rd? which one is the strongest of all?
anybody has experienced 'autogear' services?
what about tex racing T-10?
i have, as you probably know already, a 570hp 530tq 406ci engine, an uprated rear axle with 4.11 gears.
thanks/Giu
(and sorry for asking so many questions in a single thread:o )
I will jump in. With a 411 gear and your power the Auto Gear M22 with 220 low. It has the straight cut gears which are much stronger. It will whine a little because of that, similar to the whine of a big rig semi trans. Talk to Dave Testin. His Ph # is 815-970-2963. Dave can hook you up with an ALL NEW AutoGear Super M22 Rockcrusher for $2150 with all the best components. It would be the upgraded trans at most builders. Give him a call. Dave is a certified GM mechanic and drag racer for over 30 years and takes pride in what he does. It is meticulously built with nothing but the best. Small one man shop. Built mine to order in 3 days. Tell him Kevin Jensen sent you and he will take care of you.
