Default Video: Knocking sound problem...

Ok, after pulling the pushrods out and re-adjusting the rocker arms, it is still making a tapping sound.

I hope this video can let you experts make a better diagnose the problem. cause im out of ideas lol...

It seems like its coming from the driver side of the engine, but I can not be for sure

What brought this on???

It's hard to tell the tone of the sound but it's sounds pretty solid and get's louder the more throttle is applied.
I had a 396 that I put together that had a bad crank journal that made a sound similar to that. Turned out to be the piston hitting the head, hope it's not that in your case but it was a pretty deep solid sound.
Did it just start that for no reason?

It came from no where...

Wife drove it and on here way home, it started making the noise, so she pulled over and waited for me to meet her to tow the vette home, before that the car ran great no sounds or anything, had plenty of oil...

Hard to tell, but it could be a carbon knock...mist water down carb....keep rpm's up while doing that....I'd suspect that if noise is high in engine..

Fingers crossed..

That sounds absolutely horrific.

If you can't figure out where the noise is coming from, I'm guessing you are quite new to the game. You need somebody that has been at it awhile to give it a listen/take a look at it to begin the process of putting it right.

My best guess from what I hear: a helluva rod knock.

Whatever it is, you musn't run it any more than absolutely neccessary. Components making noise like that sometimes suddenly seek daylight.
