Sidepipe question on a '75 Stingray
I posted this in the "Aftermarket Parts & Engine Mods" section too. I'm hoping you guy's can help me with this. My dad just recently replaced the engine in his '75. The new engine is a pretty worked over 355. We had this engine in a camero and it ran great, but now something's not right and we think we need a bigger exhaust. Dad's car has headders and sidepipes and to my suprise, the biggest mufflers we can find to fit only have about a 1 7/8 th inch pipe:confused: Is this true??? Sidepipes that are about 5" wide and when you put the muffler(baffle or whattever it's called) in it the biggest one available is less than 2" wide? Can someone please shead some light on this.

Thanks for the help guys. I think the Spiral turbo baffles might be what we're looking for. I'll keep you all informed as to how it works out.

There are a lot of big blocks here in the C3 section that are running the JCL sidepipes with great success. The JCL's have the spiral baffles in them.
