Default Still Need Help (Door Locks 80)

Pulled the door panels off and used white grease on all the moving parts for the power door locks and it locks just fine, however, there is absolutely nothing when I unlock it. I shined the prongs going into the switch! Is it possible that the switch is bad? Or what? Stumped! [U

The switch probably is bad. Be warned that if one switch is bad, it still might not work, this might also be the problem. Check the other switch to make sure that one works.

The drivers side switch will lock them down, but nothing up and the passengers side switch will "do nothing" either way. Any suggestions?

Like I said,I would think it is probably both switches. On my 82 driver's side locked and unlocked sometiimes. When it worked both sides worked. When it didn't neither worked. My .02

If I remember correctly the switches had a connector on the back that had some openings that just pressed over the prongs on the switch. You could use a jumper wire in place of the switch, and try to activate the door locks that way.

Good luck.

There are 5 prongs that are male that fit into a female on the power lock switch. I'm not sure how I would jump that? Can you help me alittle more on that?
