1970 Vin Numbers

Just wondering if the last six numbers of the vin on a 1970 vette should match the engine number

pretty sure in 70 it should look like this

if your car vin was 194370S412345, your engine stamp would be 70S412345

Yeah thought so , This one has VIN 194370S412218 and the engine number is 13L245939 T0706CKW so is not a match , Thanks for ya help .

That's not a 1970 engine. CKW was not used as a suffix code in 70. It was used in 72 for the 200 hp engine with manual trans, but that is not a 72 Corvette engine either. T is for Tonawanda. No Corvette small block was made there during the C3 era. All should start with V for Flint. CKW was also used with the 73 Nova 145hp and 73 Camaro 145hp engines. Probably from one if those cars. Information from Chevrolet by the Numbers.
