Is this 77 worth getting
I just found a 77 w/80k on the body, the car has a 454 4bbl , engine code
CPX, the motor has 1600 rebuilt miles,its an automatic,with 4.11 gears
I know this is not the original motor,was a l-82 at one time,The motor is bored 30 over,Ross 11.0 pistons,Lunati crank,Lunati rods,Merlin 345cc
aluminum heads,Crane 1.7 roller rockers,Lunati 232/239 549/558 cam,
Merlin intake w/a 850 Holley 4150.
the tranny has a 4000 stall converter
Car has headers
So is this car worth getting , i dont think this guy knows what has, he says he hasnt raced it yet,is $8500 a steal or what??? :crazy: :crazy: :chevy

Can the car pass emissions testing in your state? I'd make sure before you buy it. Or you might just have a very fancy driveway ornament :eek: :D :eek: :crazy:

Check for rust.!!!! sounds way cool if thats what you want. price may be good if body can support engine. The parts alone sound like its worth it. Oh yea, buy some oil co stocks while your at it. :D

Are you sure about the CPX? My book shows that as a '71 LS-6 Corvette engine with auto!!!!!! If it's really an original LS-6 engine it is probably worth the $8.5k by itself!
