I have a '76 with a Super T10 that I'm running behind my big block with slicks and I haven't had any problems yet. I went 12.1 @ 118MPH with it. I have since rebuilt the motor and it's about 100 horsepower more and I haven't had any problems yet. People don't give the Super T10 enough credit. It's a pretty strong transmission.

i have it on my '77 with a 406ci 570hp...it's indeed a fearless device
I have one too, but not behind my 540. The "TORQUE" rating of the Super T-10, or any trans, depends on the gear ratios it has. The highest rating for the T-10 is 425 ft lbs, beyond that, you are pressing your luck. ZZ502's have been known to scatter them all over the pavement.

i've got a 530tq figure...mine is a rebuilt stock '77...about 3.000 miles and still there one piece...
actually i'm going soon to an uprated M22 4 speeds trans, so i can put the t-10 apart and save its integrity.
Had a close ratio super t10 before I converted to a tko. The close ratios are rated at 375 ft/lb of torque. I was pushing about 440 ft/lb thru it with no problems. If you go to the Richmond web site, they give the ratings for all the different ratios. I hammered mine had no problems.
