Speedo gears.

Does anybody know what colour tranny gears you use to get the correct speed reading . I have a st-10 with 3:73 gears. Thanks. Rob

Get out on the highway with mile markers and check the odometer you will know if you have right gear or have to make a change.

We still need to know tire size. You need to find out what color "drive" gear your tranny came with in order to match up the correct "driven" gear.

Problem

I have the gears that were in it ...before I started rebuilding it...lol. This tranny is out of another car. I'm going to try and match the stock 27 inch tire height. I'm looking at getting the 17x8 or 17x9.5 torq thrust d's. What is the tire height that you guys are using to get a good fit in the wheel well?

I'm guessing you're running 225/70/R15? It has a diameter of 27.4".
If so you can run these to acheive similar OD:

255/55/R17
255/45/R18
Both have a dia of 27.0
