http://www.nastyz28.com/gm-chevy-cod...s-suffix-7.php This site lists all chevy codes. Don't list TJO but it is definetly a early to mid 70's truck block. There is a casting date opposite the casting # that will narrow it down to the year.

C20 and C30 are the different models of trucks

From the factory these engines were 155 and 160hp, its hard to say what your engine is producing because of all the changes that could have been made since it was new.

I cant remember what intake that is, not familiar with it.

We got most of the codes here so post what you've got

What was the original engine supposed to be? 300 or 350hp?

The rear end is 1AV21169W

Whatr is this exactly?

Still hunting for the tranny number. I knowe I do not have the correct block. If i9 purchase an original 69 block and rebuild it does it improve the value of the car?

AV is the code for 1969 3.08 posi. 21169 is an assembly date for the rear end. Look closer it should read 01169 which translates to 01 = Jan, 16 = 16, 9 = 1969. W meens it was assembled in Warren MI

The more I stewed on this the madder I got as I asked them about the engine specifically and they misrepresented the car. I now have a sick 160hp in my vette and I am not happy.

I have confronted them and they acknowledged the mistake and have offered to find a 69 block and rebuild the engine. Of course they do not know when this could happen but they will try.

I told them we should just unwind the deal. They are not so happy with this suggestion and stated that since it was already registered to me that was an impossibility I told them I did not believe this as all transcti9on could be reversed for cause..

Any suggestion in turning the fire up under their feet?

You probably have an up hill battle on your hands.Do you have an ad or bill of sale that backs up the misrepresentation ? Usually you buy a used Corvette "as is" however I recently had a customer of mine successfully "unwind" a deal on a 65 fuel car.He had several ads and flyers stating untrue facts about the car.It took an attorney and a year to get it done.Good Luck I hope it goes well for you.
