Did you not have the valve covers off to determine low oil flow in the first place ?
If not how did you determine you had low oil flow to the top end ?

At idle the oil just dribbles out, enough to oil the rocker basically. It doesn't shoot all over the place, it can under certain circumstances but normall a stock or mildly built motor will just dribble
I do remember hearing something a while back, that adding roller rockers does affect how much oil is allowed up the pushrods. I read, that in these instances, pull the clips out of the tops of the lifters, and remove that tiny disc that's covering the hole. Doing this will allow more oil to go up, and the rocker regulates the pressure and how much oil passes it, instead of the disc in the lifter. Anyone else heard this?
Well - took a chance and went ahead and started the motor it did take a few agonizing seconds for the oil to start flowing...but it did start flowing and both banks are oiling well. Don't understand why the big drill wouldn't prime it but all appears to be working fine now....

There could be several reasons why, but the important thing is that you've seen oil coming from the push rods, oiling the rockers.
