What did you do with the exhaust? I want to add straight duals on my '75 (well, dual cats anyway) but I'm not sure what kind of supports I can use with this. Custom built mounts? Rework the original?

I'd think that you'd be best off with a simple, custom support. It wouldn't take much to take a strip of metal from the tranny mount and fabricate one. With dual cats, you wouldn't be able to use the standard center support even if you could hook it up in the standard position (which you can't).

I have seen people talk about taking the stock crossmember and redrill something to just make it work. I have been wondering this same thing.

By my looking, it looks like you would have to redrill the frame for the crossmember mounting points and the crossmember for the tranny mounting points. I don't mind doing the latter, but the former makes me kind of nervous. These frames are not the most solid as-is, and I would be hesitant to move the crossmember without some professional analysis.

With my 73 I didn't have to do any mods to the stock exhuast but I did loose the bracket that mount to the old TH400 trans that supported the exhuast pipes so now I have a little rattle once in a while. I should weld a support to the crossmember to fix it someday. You might be better off buying the one that BTO sells.

I used the 400 cross member on my 200R and it bolted together just fine and I ran the exhaust just like it was with the stock tranny. NO PROBLEMS

Did mine the same way

However if you have to pull the trans, the BTO would make things much easier
