And so it begins again !
Another engine, in my basement, this time a real stump puller 427ci with this Eagle 4340 4 inch stroker. Going to build a torque monster this time, will be shooting for 600TQ and near the same HP. I am contemplating a hydraulic roller cam but haven't decided yet. I will be collecting parts and doing this over the winter, basically for some thing to do

I'm going to be keeping it probably for a spare. It runs perfect, doesn't burn any oil at all. It is alot of fun on the street. I am just doing this because it is my hobby, I like building motors, trying to put together a good combination for the street, with max HP and TQ while still having good manners on the street is a challenge.
Carl a I know what you mean about tires already, my current motor has 510 ft/lbs of torque

Not sure about the block yet, was looking at Little M and then the Motown block, if I go with hydraulic roller and not a solid roller screamer then I might even try and fit this crank in OEM 817 block like my current setup with ARP main studs
Basement?? Man, how the heck do you get it out?? Nothing short of knocking down walls would get mine out. Had to garage build. After the holidays ($$) my 406 will be ready to dyno.
Sure would like to see a Crower Hyd Roller in that 427 monster. Check here for good Dart Little M pricing. http://www.competitionproducts.com Great service, tech, and fast ship.
Good luck Motorhead. Keep us posted
