While at the "Beaver" this Sunday, I had the opportunity to drive in the gate and go directly throuhg the lanes and get a time shot in my recently rebuilt 350 small block 73 Coupe that sports a single two barrel, which is one of 3 that will eventually sit atop the three deuce maniford. The results were expected and typical of a C3, but dissappointing none the less.
17.38 @80MPH faster speeds and quicker ET's, all in good time.

That seems really slow for a rebuilt engine , even with a two barrel. You say that you are going to put on a six pack so I would assume that you built the engine better than stock. What are your engine specs, compression ratio and cam ?
In my bone stock automatic '76 L-48 with 3.08s, I ran a 15.2 @ 89 (I'm 99% on that speed, it was 2 years ago) with a 2.2 60' time. That was with a tired engine that blew smoke on startup. When I took it apart later, I verified the cam was the original grind with a micrometer, heads, etc was all the same as well.
Hey guy's I think your being a little harsh about his E.T. My motor was tight till over a 1000 miles and I never ran it hard till after that. So we have no idea how the run was made. I'm sure that a 300 or so CFM 2-barrel is a real life rev limiter.
A guy here at work has 69 350/350 4 speed with side pipes & a three duece setup. He has been running it for years. If you would like I could have you talk to him via e-mail.
IMO 3X2 are bound to have fuel dist. problems and they will never have the output of a same CFM equipt. motor with a good single plane. But they sure do look nice! :D As jimduchek said be careful on lean A/F ratio.
