Default Fender safety wires????????????????
OK......what are the aircraft cable wires attached to the fenders behind the leaf filters. Do 81 front fenders tend to fly off

Don't have them on my 78', but I'll bet they have something to do with front end crash requirements (as in NHTSA)

Could be.....there's a 3/4 x .060 or so plate about 6 inches long just pop rivited to turned down glass end, with a tab for loop to attach to. Can't see what this would help in a collision.....but then again, thats not my dicipline.
