Why not rebuild it? Or do you have an older Muncie already and want to replace it with the older one. Yes the clucth disc and output shaft will be different.
The Trans Is Original And It Is A M-20, The Trans Was Under Water And The Gears Are Pitted ,,, It Would Be Expensiv3e To Completely Rebuild But I Will If I Have To. I Was Just Looking For Options.
It may be listed as an M-20 but as posted above the Borg Warner super T-10 is what came as original equipment...Summitt and Jegs both sell brand new replacements.

Exactly. RNR75, just so we're clear, M20 is just the GM's RPO code for "Wide Ratio Manual Transmission". The "M" in M20 has nothing whatsoever to do with Muncie. Your tranny is a Warner T-10 Wide Ratio with a 2.64 low gear.
The Muncie M-20 That Came Out Of My 75 Needs To Be Replaced,,, Do I Need A Year Specific Replacement Or Can It Be Any M-20 Including Late 60's.
Thanks Rich
Rich,
What ever tranny was in there before - you will prefer to have the same design go back in. If you get a different one you may need to change some or all of the following: shifter mounting bracket, linkage, clutch disk, ouput yoke, or even the driveshaft. It just depends on the year model and manufacturer of the replacement tranny. IMHO it is most economical to replace the one you have with an exact match OR just rebuild the one that came out, in that order.
Upgrades are always in fashion here too but they will cost more to complete when you add in the cost for all the little bits that you will need.
I've seen some early 75 cars come with Muncies as well as ST10's.... People think that as soon as the production year changes that GM would just flag all the Muncies, but them away and start with another transmission. This is not the case.
