engine paint question?
im looking at repainting the valve covers and oil pan. what is the paint code for chevy engine blue. Iv only seen one spray can in stores but it is a bright blue. the blue i am looking for is almost like a greenish light blue. it was on all chevy v8 engines from 1978-1981. does anyone know the paint code or where to find it.

I believe the gm code is W85E7061. The ppg number is 15159. There were a few different blues listed for the engine. Have your paint shop mix a small amount so you can check the color first.

this is what i used
also try to buy all the cans from the same batch/lot number,
look for the code on the bottom of the can.
i bought 4 to begin with and didnt have enough, ended up buying another 2 cans and you can see the difference in the pigment when you get up close.
