Missing fireing
I looking for some help.
I have a 1973 – 454 4sp Corvette.
I installed a MSD pointless dist.and was running Mobil-1 10w-30.
I and drove 6,000 miles without any problems just using oil.
I had very little smoke from the exhaust.
So someone told me to switch over to Dino oil 30w – 50 and this would help.
Several days after the switch over my car is now missing. I pull the plugs and found several plugs were mess up.
I was told this is a normal big block problem, and I will need to clean the plugs every 2000 miles. But I was thinking could it be the Mobil-1 burn off the plugs before they get mess up and start to miss? Why did this problem started when I switch oil?
