bat light coming on
while driving my 78 after a while bat light comes on..... Day, night, rain, no rain, hot, cold as drive continues light gets brighter; amp meter dips slowly to the negative; but never in the red. next day go for ride no light at start of ride; then all of a sudden like magic the light begins to glow til its bright red again.......any ideas?????

Yep...new alt is in the cards. Do yourself a favor though, and use this chance to upgrade to a CS130 or CS144. Both will give you another 60 - 100 amps.
