I've had both style mounts. Poly - extremely hard and will last a lifetime, but will increase rattles/squeeks. Rubber - will probably have to replace them in another 10-15 years, but are quieter.
I used to have poly, but recently switched back to rubber for better ride and less noise. In anything but an all out race car, my opinion is go with the rubber ones you'll be happier.
I started my replacment on Sunday. I have the body lifted now and I'm going to due some rust prevention while I have the body lifted. I decided to replace my solid mounts with rubber after doing some research on the topic. Here is the link to my thread with pics...
