Default tire size

I know in 1977, tires were measured different than today's standards. What I would like to know is what is today's standards tire size that replaces what was factory in 1977. My door tag says GR 70 R-15"

Thanks

I have stock wheels wearing 225 R7015's, except for the fact that they are not RWL, they look and operate well I think.

With 2 77's I can state that it's not at all clear. my red one wears 255/60's and the black one 235/60's they seem to very from brand to brand. so I feel the real answer is clear as mud. however if you can tell us which brand and model tire you are choseing we can probably steer you in the right direction.
