I could not find a systen that was made so I had Mufflex in Trento NJ build one. He makes a lot of custom systems for high performance cars. Probably was not the cheapest but the system fits and looks great. He is a Flowmaster dealer also.
I ordered and then returned 3 different s/s systems from the major vette parts catalogs, none of then came close to fitting my 71 4spd.(all off in different ways!!) They insisted that my drivetrain must not be original but their wrong. Eventually they admitted that many times you need a muffler shop to add or shorten up the "factory correct" bends in their pipes. I ended up with a good local shop custom bending the pipes. It took the 20 year experienced man about 2 hours to make up a beautifully bent system, not s/s but I saved alot of bucks. :flag
I got an aluminized system from Paragon Reproductions for around $300 including clamps. Fit like a glove. If your into the originality thing, they can supply you with the mufflers welded to the secondary pipes as original. The only extra charge is a bit more for shipping. I suggest you listen to some systems to make sure you like the sound before ordering anything. Good luck.
Glad to see you mention mandrell bent exhaust. Back in the early 80's , I joined the Buick G.S. Club of America. One of their first issues of concern was the very type of smooth bend exhaust, that fits. They rallyed members to research & develop a 2 1/2 " mandrell bent exhaust, based off an original system. One of the founding members branched off to form his own performance products co., called Torque Tech , based in Valdosta Ga. He now supplies a few systems in 2 1/2 & 3" for various make vehicles. I have known him for years as well as used his exhaust products on our cars, and have been pleased. I have been kicking around these 2 size systems in smooth bend for a while now. If enough of you respond, it may be possible. The tubes have been aluminized (not stainless) and heavy guage, but not sure of the exact guage as of now. I'll give Keith a call and chat about this subject soon. By the way, back when, large numbers of us wrote in to Edelbrock asking to bring back the B4B aluminum intake for Buick 455's, they heard our voices, and responded. My point is that if enough of you want it, it can be done. Let me know.
