Default Distributor/Tachometer

Well, it had to happen after 30 years.

The little brown wire from the distributor to the tachometer came loose from the connector and now I don't have a tach. I could always just shave some wire off and fix the connector, but it is really brittle and will probably end up breaking on me. It didn't break on the distributor end, it broke on the connector right before the capacitor looking thingy.

Does any aftermarket place make a new connection (including wires) from the distributor to the tach? I looked in Mid America and Veterans catalogs and didn't see anything.

I'm going to be doing a complete tuneup and oil change on her tomorrow morning. New coil/cap/rotor - new vacuum advance - new plugs and Taylor wires. Would also like to fix that tach problem without Bubbacizing it by just splicing wires.

Thanks, Randy

I have kind of the same problem. My tach was working fine until one of the wires on that capacitor became disconnected. I tried resoldering the wire but that didn't work so I wanna get a new one. The only problem is that mine looks exactly like this

And not like that Tach Filter from Mid America. Is it ok to replace that tach filter with this unit, I mean, they look like essentially the same thing and mine was working fine with the defroster unit on it? I have a 77 by the way.
