Default Front end question

When working on the front end of your vehicle is it best to have the entire vehicle on jackstands or just raising the front end of the vehicle sufficiant? Im going to change my ball joints and coil springs.

When I did mine I just jacked up the front and put jackstands under it to hold it up. It worked very well for me, I changed my springs and rebuilt the entire front end , you should be fine with just the front in the air.

I agree, just getting the front up should work fine.

Either 2 jack stands up front or 4 jack stands will work, but if you use just 2 jack stands, I recommend you remove your glass t-tops first.

I did a lot of work up front of my '80 and one of my glass t-tops cracked somewhere along the way. My theory is that the car flexed upward in the front to put some pressure on the t-tops between the windshield and top cross bar.
