I just got back from a conference in Reno where I had a chance to meet up with Gkull. Genuine Good Time! He has put together an awesome Vette that is so well designed that it catches you by surprise when you realize that you are going over 110 mph just smoothly cruising, or accelerating thru a tight radius on-ramp pulling 1-G, or getting your head pinned back from a standing start. This experience added another dimension to what Vette-ing is all about! Total Performance. I believe that this forum is very fortunate to have an excellent source of information in Gkull.
George, there will always be a cold on waiting for you if you ever decide to come back to Hawaii.
As we cruised around and talked I wished I could have shown you more or explained everything. Anyone is welcome to come here and I drove nice to make sure that I didn't scare him :yesnod: When Norris came over I even popped a valve cover and showed him that adjusting big solid rollers cams is no big deal over a couple a beers.
A lightened 79 vette with 17 inch wheels, VB&P kitted poly everything with enough power is just a joy to drive.
It also helps to live in an open high speed state where the police are not of any concern. I feel sorry for all you east coasters ;)
Vettes are entertainment not transportation even though I might put on 10k miles a year
