Body - hood alignment

Hi everyone - Merry Christmas to all.

I installed a new hood on my C3 and the front edge is lower than the front panel. I notice that if I press down on the front panel, it will flex downward and align with the hood. Has anyone come up with a way to pull the panel in towards the metal reinforcement that crosses underneath? The metal does not contact the fiberglass on mine and I was thinking of trying to bond T nuts to the underside of the fiberglass. Possibly with some mat overlay to increase the area of the bond.

Any thoughts?

Have you tried shimming the hood hinges?

If it is loose the metal may be rusted as this is common and you need to bond on a new part.

Sorry, I should have also said: The sides line up from front to back. The corners are matching. The center is lowest.

Check the upper surround reinforcement/headlamp support bar. The bond may be coming apart.
