Are you sure that is for a vette? I am putting one in my car very soon. I almost bought one on ebay a week or so ago, and I did some research on them. The LT1's for the f bodies are 2 bolt main 275hp with alum heads. The ones for vettes are 4 bolt 300hp w/ alum heads. I have opted to find one out of a vette because I prefer 4 bolt setup. I have seen some "LT1's" out of Impalas with cast iron heads, but not in any vettes, I could be wrong, because I quit researching when I found out the diff between f body and vette LT1.
I doubt those are corvette lt1's I even think he said they are not, just posted that info up here for those whose budget constrict what they can do. Although a 2bolt main, the engines are rather beefy compared to a l48 or stock gm 350.

I opened my Pace Performance Catalog. Found the reman/factory replacement motor section.
Found part no 12533597 5.7L 96-97 LT-1 for F,Y bodies $1896.45 .
I e-mailed him why he said it was a vette LT1 since it has iron heads.. .he said this :
"Yes, vettes had the aluminum heads however as I stated in my description, gm
references the models I listed as an application to this particular engine."
What EVER... bunch of BS.. he ripped someone good....
