Default None OTS

There are none off the shelf for '80-'82 IRS. Most of the CF'ers that have a traction bar have pre-'80 cars with 4-hole spring mounting plates. '80-'82 cars plates have 3 holes.

I am in the middle of making one for my '80. It will look similar to the one in the picture posted by Gordonm in the tread mentioned above.

I am using a solid motor mount bolted to the front diff mount that will transfer force directly to the rear cross member. I am fabricating the rear mount from a HD trailer spring mount welded to a 1/4 x 5 x 5 plate. In between is a powder coated Megan Racing tie bar. I am going to have the front and rear mounts powder coated.

I have an extra solid motor mount and spring mount and plenty of 1/4x5 stock left over for another spring plate. You can buy HD tie bars on eBay for about $50 + shipping.

I'll sell you my extra parts and a plate for cost ($30) + shipping. PM me if you're interested.

This is the mounting plate I have on my '80:

Here's the plate for '78-'79:

And here's the plate for '63='77:

Is your spring original? If not and you didn't replace it, then a previous owner may have replaced with a pre-80 spring.
