Its going to end soon, and no way am I impulse buying a $2000 383 and have it show up to my awestricken girlfriend while I die the next day. There will be more from them, but opinions would be great.
The cam is a Blue Racer 488-512 crane flat tappet cam and a procomp 383 cast nodular crankshaft. There's alot to read there, so I hope some of you can bare with me and help me out. Sounds like a great deal to me.
Also, recommendations on head selection, manifold and carb would be great. This'll be coupled with headers, of course. Trying to stay below 10:1.

Couple of things to consider, no good performance shop I know of is going to use all chinese parts like they are. The parts might spec out perfect but it is defects in the material that might cause problems. I did not read the whole thing but it says one piece roller block and they are using 2 piece crank, it can be done with an adapter but not sure what is going on there.
One thing good about buying a short block is that you can take it apart easily and inspect everything. It is a good price ( cheap ) so I might consider it but I would not put expensive heads on it in case it blows up. I never recommend buying motors on ebay but if you are aware of the downside ( warranty claims from another part of the country etc) then it might be a good buy

Go to someone local that you can drive to, a short block won't cost that much more and you take the crank back and beat them over the head with it if it blows
