Confusing taillight problem..Help
Putting my 72' vert back together.. Have a tailight problem..When I turn my running lights on,the pass side taillight is much brighter than the driver side,as bright as it would be if I applied the brake pedal..All grounds seem to be fine...Any help or direction would be great..This is driving me crazy!!!

Check to be sure your ground is good because that can cause problems like this. Take the lens off and look at the bulb and see which filament is burning on each sides. If they are not the same filament on both sides another thing could be you have the bulb in backwards or if you had the wires off you might of hooked up the wires backwards.

Here is another thing..I have taken the taillight housing off the car with with the bulb stiil in..When I do this the bulb goes dimmer than the driver side.When I touch the housing to the bumper or pull out one of the ground wires through the housing opening and touch one of the ground terminals it goes very bright..Both filaments light up
