'75 Engine emissions vacuum hose routing diagram
My '75 won't kick down to slow idle so as one more last resort I want
to double check engine emissions vacuum hose routing. Car starts
fine but idles at about 1400 and won't kick down even after about
10 minutes. When I put on the brakes it goes down to about 800 but
I feel like I wearing the pads. I have tried - cleaned carb, checked all
hoses, power brake connection, cleaned EGR valve, pcv rattles, front
tank hoses, carb bolts & screws and more. So, after reading many threads I believe it is a vacuum leak and if I had a good diagram it
would be my last check (My AIM is in the mail - should get next week.).
A diagram and any other thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks Peter

Good idea. May try that next. But, got the Dr Rebuild diagram and
it was not like my current emissions setup - that is, the distributor
hose was at a "T" and per the diagram it should be direct to the
carb. So, I have redone the hoses and will take a drive now.
Will let you know.

Took a ride and after installling the proper engine emissions hoses it
works fine. I think the problem was that the dist vacuum hose went
to a "T" and I changed it to run direct to the carb.
Thanks for your response.
