Default 68 knockoff wheels
Anyone know if 68 knock off rims will fit on a on a 65 L78 that does not have the bolt on flange?

Federal mandate, I believe...too dangerous as some were not properly tightened. (not a good thing to have your wheel come off.)

They did make some aftermarket knockoffs for 68's. I am not sure of what the offset is and whether they are compatible or not.

Yes, think it was a government ban

The C2 knockoffs will work on a C3 afaik, saw them once on a 68 and
they did look nice. Would defintely feel safer with the aftermarkets
with the safety pin for sure.

All k/o wheels were 15 X 6, not allowing for any of the wider tires to be used. The saftey ****'s made G.M. switch to a fake (bolt-on) knock-off in '67.
