My '75 (a/t) quit while driving and will not start. There is no electrical power to anything and when I turn the key, nothing happens. This shut down was a complete surprise with no symptoms.
Battery has 12.3 Volts and connections are tight. I changed the starter about 2 months ago and that may have something to do with it.
The problem is IT IS ABOUT TO RAIN, there is no power to the windows and it broke down away from my house.
Could someone please recommend where I can troubleshoot to find where my problem may be?

On an 81, yours should be similar, one link feeds the light switch, the other goes to the fuses and the large alt. post. Check for voltage at these locations.
I will now check all the wires at the starter and try to figure out what caused the problem.
It went dead while driving? Obviously, you don't need the starter to keep the motor running. Is there a ground near the starter that you need to keep the engine running?

That was my same thought. There must be. I really don't understand why it quit or why it started back up. But there is good potential for wires crossing around the starter.
