Has anybody here installed the Classic Auto Air aftermarket air condition and heating system? I have my heater box completely removed and was considering thier product.

I have a Vintage Air system that is the new "corvette sure fit" and like it a lot which cost $1,250. It uses the original dial switches and does not use the old vacuum system to change out the air flow direction as everything is electronically controlled. I have full AC/Heat/Defrost.

Thanks for the response, Vintage air is a different company I am looking for feedback on Classic Auto Air. I believe they are based in the Tampa area.

I installed the CAA system in my '69 coupe.

I haven't got the system charged up and running yet, as I am finishing off a few other jobs - the while I'm at it syndrome - so I can't really comment on how well it works.

Overall, I'm quite happy with the kit. One complaint I have is that I bought the polished compressor upgrade, but they still only supplied a cheap steel compressor bracket. I swapped it out for a billet alum bracket.

I had no problems with customer service. When I called for help they were prompt and helpful.

Not sure how it stacks up against the other kits.

Thanks Dave, I thought that there would be a ton of responses on this one. So the polish compressor upgrade was worth the money (besides the bracket?

Yes, I think so. For $50 the polished compressor looks nice. I would have paid more if they would have offered a nice billet bracket, but all they give you is a raw steel bracket setup. Not even painted.

Dave

P.S. I forgot to mention that the installation instructions left something to be desired, but overall the install wasn't that difficult so it didn't matter.
