I guess they know I won't be able to measure the LSA.... basically they can install anything...
Wait, I have a few dial indicators and magnetic bases.... I could measure the lobe lift but I'd need a degree wheel to get the LSA....
Is there anything stamped on the cam so I can verify what I got ?? What about the pistons ??? This shop was a few hundred bucks cheaper than the competition, I'm going to inspect that short block like a hawk when I get it
it will say on the box what you got, and certain cam numbers can tell you what it is.....just don't count on custom work from comp to be right the first time...its gotta take at least the second or third cam to get it right. I hate comp cams. I hope they get yours right.

I have just installed the xr276hr, I have had 3 cams in my 383.
1) comp 280, 230/230 .48 .48 magnum cam 110 LSA , hyd flat tappet
2) crane 292/300, 230/238, .529/.558 112 Lsa hyd roller
3) comp xr276hr
The xr276hr is very streetable. It is a very mild cam compared to the two above. I like the cam it has good power but in retrospect I wish I had chosen the xr282hr.
Don't get me wrong, it seems to develop good power between 2000-5000 rpm and I can pull 4th gear down to 1500 rpm, It just seems milder when you drive it.
I also think the 383 likes a tighter Lsa.
The crane cam had to much overlap and I was getting reversion and I lost 40hp over the 280 mag cam.
