I needed to cut away more of the top metal, so the pulley could sit back furhter
Repainted and installed pulley, need to leave clearance for cable
Here is picture of cable with driveshaft. Cable is pretty close to drive shaft, but being drive shaft does not move it should be OK. Pulley mount need to be shifted more to the left in the picture so cable aligns better with pulley. It would also move cable away from universal joint.
Here is picture of seal on yoke, it is very tight driveshaft does not move forward or backward
Pisture of my son hanging exhaust, I love to see him work.
Need to fill trans with oil and start it up. I need to get a pump so I can get the oil into trans. I will pick that up tomorrow.
I had the same issue with the crossmember and the e-brake cable. After I trimmed the mount so the cable pulley would fit, my cable actually hit the drive shaft. I talked to Richard three or four months ago about moving the e-brake pulley mount. I guess they must of moved it some but still didn't fix it entirely. I'M STILL WAITING FOR A CALL FROM KEISLER WHEN THEY FIX THE PROBLEMS WITH THE 81 CROSSMEMBERS SO I CAN HOOK UP MY EMERGENCY BRAKE. (HINT, HINT, HINT).

If you have a 4 speed, do you leave it in gear and use that for the brake? You have to have an emergecy bake. I would think Keisler would send you a new crossmember. It does work eventhough it need some modification

No, I have the TKO 500 kit bought from Keisler. I don't park on any big hills right now. Once I get a new crossmember that will allow me to hook up my e-brake, I'll be good to go.
I don't have any pictures of the crossmember. It did come in the kit for the 81. It's a nice piece except the emergency brake cable doesn't fit.
Congrats...Bet your glad youve got the right stuff to get up and running.
looks like Keisler may be getting the Issues sorted out with their Products. I think they would better serve their customers by not being so specific with the welded parts. The parking brake Bracket for example. Make an adjustable Mount, and let you fit it correctly with whats going on under your particular vette. From what Ive read, they seem to miss what all the possibilities are Under the different year C3's. and I wouldnt want my car being a test Pig for their product development. Thats just My 2cents worth, obviously theyve had success Marketing their "do it yourself, easy to install" Kits.
