Tumarr

Well I have just finished putting together my fourth small block (383) which went into my brother's camaro and was contemplating going big block in my vette because I feel it is the next step up. I just got done reading in carcraft about a 700 hp 496 bbc with AFR heads and a mech roller cam and was thinking of building somthing along those lines. I got alot of small block stuff I will be selling off to help pay for all this. What I am asking is for a few suggested combos that will get me in the 700 hp range still using pump gas and shifting under 7000 rpm. I am hoping to do this in the $5000 range. Not including the bigger hood and other things, just in the motor.

Funny, I saw this post this morning and was thinking to myself the Tumarr probably has it right. no matter how much HP, you'll probably want more. At 707 hp, however, we may have found the exception. That's an insane amount of power.
