Seeing how another thread suggests rotella is changing and will have less protection than it did before concerning flat tappet hydraulic camshafts, do roller hydraulic camshafts fair any better against wiped cam lobes or rollers going flat than their flat tappet kin? Rollers are way more expensive in older blocks and I am wondering is this the way to go?

Roller is definitely the way to go.

Faster ramps, less wear, still have the choice of solid or hydraulic lifters.

This is a concentrate of zinc and phosphorus. I use one bottle (about 4oz) with each oil change. Cheap insurance.
