Harley, can't answer you but I have a question. I have an 82 CE and was thinking about true duals too. Did you have to change the crossmember to get them so they don't scrape :confused:

Last year, while removing some unnecessary pumps and related plumbing from my '82, I modified my cat and added K&N Airfilters. The end result was a little louder exhaust, maybe a little better top end, but definately less low end torque. After that I put on a set of Heddman Headers, true dual exhausts (with boths sides routed under the passenger side), and turbo mufflers. The result was that it still had the same power on the top end but more bottom end power than before I modified the cat or after.

No -- mid-america makes a set that will work with the current configuration. However, you can not run the cats. with their true dual setup.
I have an 82 w/ 2&3/4" duals. I have hedman 63200 (non emissions legal) headers and custom bent pipes running through an early style crossmember. You need to mod it a little to fit the tranny mount.
