Default Mid America Mufflers

Has anyone tried these polished stainless mufflers from Mid America ?
The price looks pretty good.

I had a set for about four months and the end of one blew a 2 inch hole and the other had stress cracks in the same place. Mid America was great and gave me credit on a new set. I was interested in replacing them but they said they were having problems with them, so I got a differant set.

its been my experience that any stainless muffler is just too damn loud.

I just took one off mine.

There was a similar MA set on my 75 when I removed them for sidepipes a couple years ago. They were a few years old at that point based upon receipts I was given, and seemed in pretty good shape when removed. However as Turtlevette said they were a bit "droney" and kinda loud. However not as loud as the sidepipes are.

I hate to hear about problems with these--I have been looking at them too. The price is decent and they look good. I like the integrated tailpipe.

I don't have their mufflers, but am using their chambered pipe system. The only reason their price is good is because their quality SUCKS.

P.S. no need to remind me that chambered pipes rob hp unless you have data I am not interested in your opinion

Magnaflows from Corvette Central. Welded pipes front & rear, welded seams, lifetime replacement, great sound.
