Default EBrake problem need help!!

Well my ebrake light has always been lit, and would never go off. Now i didnt drive the car just started it and let it idle. Now i first thought it was just a electrical problem, so i checked it that wasnt the case.
I then sprayed break lose and lube. on the ebrake lines, where the pullys are. BUt that didnt fix anything.
Then i checked my rear tire, why my car is in netral and the cars in the air, the tires will not rotate, The brake is released, and the cars in N.. but it still wont budge. could it be my ebrake internally is stuck?, or maybe broken.... what would cause this...

Do you mean to the brake light in the tacho gauge?
If yes the only thing that light this is a switch on the ebrake handle that give ground to the ebrake lamp in the tacho gauge.
I have 68 coupe & 72 conv' it's like this on both.

The light stays on, but so does the actual ebrake, i cant move the tires by hand..... so the whole ebrake is stuck on not jus the light.

The light staying on usually indicates a failure (leak) in the braking system. It could also be a bad e-brake switch.

E-brake shoes can and do sieze up, expecially if the car has been sitting with the brake applied. You might be able to loosen things up by working the star wheel adjuster.

77/350- calipers hold the shoes against the rotors. Sounds like your rear rotors are siezed. Maybe you have never replaced the emergency brake shoes. I am convinced that my 77 had the originals on it.
you need a technical manual with pictures.

Two switches turn on the brake lite. The switch below the parking brake cable and the switch in the proportioning valve. Unplug the switch off the valve, the lite should go out. If not pull the parking brake console to see why the handle is not depressing the switch.
It sounds like the parking brake crossover cable is frozen which is keeping the wheels from turning. Trace to the end of the cable to the lever on each rear wheel backing plate. Pry the lever towards the rear of the car and see if the wheels free up.

Affect actual emergency brake operation, No. Turn on the BRAKE warning light, Yes.

If the tires won't spin, jack up the rear. Disconnect the 1/2 shafts and see if the problem is in the Trailing arm or differential. If the brake fluid is out of the car then the piston should be able to be pushed back. If they are free then the only thing in the arm would be frozen parking brakes and I've had many I could drive through or Locked up bearings. If they move free then you may have a backed out ring gear bolt in the diff. Not uncommon in late C3's and usually shear off in driving but could lock things up. Take a look and see.
